Spring is Awesome!

Lots of fun stuff happening in my musical world......tons of fun with Midnite Mood with gigs and recording our CD....We now have a deadlline.......Our CD release party is booked in October at the Springside Inn......Really looking forward to the return of  the Nodzo & Van Arsdale duo this summer...more details to follow..........Perform 4 Purpose has 2 events planned to support worthy causes and give Jim Van Arsdale Guitar School students a chance to perform for friends and family........Check the calendar for all the dates.....Thank you for your support of live music in CNY and beyond!

Fun Febraury Shows and More Recording

Thanks to everyone who came out to my gig at the Oak & Vine, and also Midnite Mood's return to Big Kahunas. It was great to see many familiar faces and some new ones too!
Our band is continuing our work with Dave Conway in his studio. I have been really happy with the guitar tones Dave has captured and look forward to everyone hearing the songs we are putting together. Look for a CD release in the second half of 2012.

Midnite Mood Writing Songs for 2012 CD

We are having a blast collaborating on some original tunes for our planned CD...... Our first one titled, "Wasted Time" Diana brought to us a few months back. We started performing it live for the first time in Oct  2011. We have recently spent sometime tweaking it the guitar parts and adding a new bass line and are very excited about how it is sounding lately. .....Our 2nd tune is a ballad called, "Remember to Love". Di wrote this on the piano, and we are enjoying creating some moody guitar riffs for the bands version. We have also stared working on a very funky jam...seeing where that will go.......more to come soon

  • The return of Nodzo & Van Arsdale duo comes to the Oak & Vine. From 1999-2007, Bob and Jim played several hundred gigs together all through out the Finger Lakes. Voted best regional band by the Citizen Newspaper as members of Spellbound in 2001, they also performed an acoustic based show from a wide ranging musical platter. Now 2012 finds them back together again and ready to bring their brand of musical fun to audiences everywhere.
